The Air Force ReservesUnited States Air Force Reserves members are qualified for a wealth of benefits for enlistment as well as service. Many individuals who have already served time in some other branch of the military become eligible for other special benefits as well. Reserves members receive non-contributory retirement benefits. Members of the US Air Force Reserves earn pay comparable to that of civilan pay. The Air Force Reserves understands today's costs of living and other related expenses and also rewards individuals for additional time served beyond their required time. Many Reservists are able to earn further pay for years of service that have been accumulated, or if you happen to be on flying status. Many educational programs are avaible to Air Force Reservists and they are encouraged to participate in them. With the hightest level of training available today, on the most advanced equipment available today, Air Force Reservists have more than adequate skills & preparation to meet any threats they may face. Often, Air Force Reservists find they want to further advance their newly learned skills and are able to attend the Community College of the Air Force. This accredited institution of higher learning is dedicated entirely to the U.S. Air Force and its personnel. It also happens to be the only military school that grants Associate degrees. Air Force Reservists can go back to their civilian jobs after training or serving during a national emergency, due to the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act of 1994. This legislation guarantees that Reservists are allowed to revert to your previous employment after completing time served.
